| The aim of this workshop is to provide an overview on recent developments in nonlinear approximation. Nonlinear approximation theory is a fast growing research area with many important applications such as adaptive numerical schemes for operator equations, image/signal compression and many others. Within this workshop, these relationships will be discussed and the connections to other mathematical fields such as the theory of function spaces will be highlighted. | ||
